Wrapping Up Another Great Soccer Season

Who would've thought that Michael would love being a soccer coach so much that he would want to keep spending his Saturday mornings with 8 four year olds? But he did, and - as it turns out - he's really great at it to boot.
Ben and Drew both really enjoyed having Daddy be the coach again. And whereas last year it took all season long for Ben to figure out that going after the ball is fun, he jumped right in with both feet first this year. He was a scoring machine. Drew did really great too. Social butterfly that he is, I think he had as much fun being silly with his teammates (almost every goal merited a flip on the grass and high fives all around) as he did actually playing. But the important thing is that they both had a good time and they are continuing to get better. So our season wrapped up this past May and here are a few pictures of our last game and getting our trophies:

I had to include this picture of my favorite two year old. He's my sideline buddy during most of the games. But if I'm being honest, it's probably only because I sit on the blanket and give snacks to the boys who are waiting to go in the game....Numbers 4, 5, & 6 admiring their new trophiesThe proud daddies with their little soccer stars

Our team this year: Cooper, Brax, Noah, Junior, Daddy, Keegan, Drew, Tyler and BenIt sure has been a fun way to start off our weekends. And they say that they'd like to play again this coming fall...as long as Daddy can be the Coach.
